Car: BR-101 towards SP, exit signposted Trindade (27 km). Bus from Paraty bus station. Villa does not allow cars — park at the entrance and walk (5 min).

"Cepilho" is the name of a tool used to plan wood in the construction of canoes — a direct reference to the caiçara craftsmanship of boat manufacturing that existed in that area. The Cepilhão Open event has existed for over 20 years.
