The tournament and the community

Fut Juá is a beach soccer tournament held at Praia do Sono. Its 25th edition brought together teams from coastal communities in the region for two days of competition, music, and community gathering. The event announcement placed the sports schedule alongside the celebration of caiçara traditions.

The host beach lies within the Juatinga Ecological Reserve, a protected area in Paraty whose purpose includes supporting caiçara culture and conserving coastal ecosystems. That setting helps explain why Fut Juá also serves as a meeting point for local communities while remaining a structured competition with group and knockout stages.

Teams and format in 2026

Eight teams took part in two groups. Group A featured Cairuçu, Juatinga, Mamanguá, and Ponta Negra. Group B consisted of Calhaus, Paraty-Mirim, Pouso da Cajaíba, and Praia do Sono.

The group stage featured 12 matches played on Saturday and Sunday morning. The tournament moved to the semifinals, third-place match, and final on Sunday afternoon. The sources reviewed did not publish scores or individual match results.

Results of the 25th edition

Sono Futebol Club won the tournament. Ponta Negra Futebol Club finished second, and Cairuçu das Pedras placed third. The final standings appear in Paraty City Council Motion No. 28/2026, a formal commendation introduced after the tournament and approved on April 6, 2026.

This official post-event record confirms that the edition took place and distinguishes the final result from preliminary calendars that circulated with different dates. For the Guia de Paraty, the dates supported by the completed event record prevail: March 28 and 29, 2026.
