Paraty’s tourism and cultural calendar reserves December 31, 2026, for New Year’s Eve, following Pre-New Year’s Eve events scheduled for December 28–30. The night begins in 2026 and welcomes 2027. This distinction helps avoid confusing the upcoming celebration with the program held in December 2025, which was advertised as New Year’s Eve 2026.

As of the August 29, 2026 review, no official announcement had been found listing performers, times, public celebration sites, transportation arrangements, or the fireworks format for New Year’s Eve 2026/2027. The date is confirmed; all other details remain pending and should be updated when Paraty City Hall publishes the program.

Previous editions

For the transition from 2025 to 2026, municipal documents placed public programming at Praia do Pontal, Praia do Jabaquara, Largo de Santa Rita, Trindade, Paraty-Mirim, Tarituba, and Prainha de Mambucaba. Contracts and announcements were finalized in the final weeks of December, showing that the recent edition used multiple locations and that details were confirmed close to the date.

This history helps explain the previous edition, but it does not guarantee that the same venues, performers, or times will return. The page that still appears online as “New Year’s Eve in Paraty 2026” describes December 31, 2025; its lineup does not automatically apply to December 31, 2026.

How to plan

For the upcoming celebration, it is important to distinguish among three kinds of announcements: the municipal public celebration, ticketed private parties, and events organized by local communities or lodging properties. Each activity may have a different address, access policy, and rules. Before making plans, check that the announcement explicitly mentions December 31, 2026, and identify the organizer.

Lodging and transportation can be planned in advance, but the choice of celebration site should take the official confirmation of venues and times into account. Closer to the date, check Paraty City Hall’s channels and the tourism calendar; this page should be reviewed when a verifiable public program becomes available.
