Pre-Carnival
Paraty’s Pre-Carnival program ran from February 6 to 12, 2026. Confirmed activities included live music at Praça da Matriz and Carnaval dos Povos events at Casa Caiçara in Tarituba ahead of the city’s official Carnival opening.
Paraty Carnival
Paraty Carnival took place from February 13 to 17, 2026. The program opened officially in the Historic Center and brought street blocos, processions, and live music to Jabaquara, Chafariz, Trindade, Prainha, and Quilombo do Campinho as well.
Paraty Anniversary
Paraty marked its 359th anniversary on February 28, 2026. Celebrations planned for late February were canceled after heavy rains; a music program was announced for April 5 at Areal do Pontal.
Fut Juá – Praia do Sono
The 25th Fut Juá brought eight teams together at Praia do Sono on March 28 and 29, 2026. The beach soccer tournament combined competition and music with a gathering rooted in caiçara culture; Sono Futebol Club won the title.
Holy Week
Paraty’s 2026 Holy Week religious program ran from March 29 to April 5, with Masses and rites at Matriz Church and Rosário Church, as well as processions tied to the traditions of the Historic Center.
Ceramists Meeting
The 18th edition of the Ceramists Meeting took place in Paraty from April 2 to 5, 2026, with exhibitions, a ceramics market, workshops, demonstrations, and conversations about ancestral knowledge and contemporary work in clay.
SESC Jazz & Blues Circuit
A free stop on the circuit, featuring jazz, blues and instrumental music on stages at Praça da Matriz and Largo de Santa Rita in the Historic Center.
Feast of the Divine Holy Spirit
Held in Paraty since the 18th century and recognized as Cultural Heritage of Brazil, the festival brings together novenas, processions, popular traditions and the election of the Emperor of the Divine.
