About the beach

Meio is one of Trindade’s busiest beaches, with generally calm, clear water, a wide sandy shore, and Atlantic Forest vegetation close to the beachfront. Small pools form among the rocks at one end, and the roughly 1.5 km trail to the Cachadaço Natural Pool begins here.

How to get there

Drive to the Trindade entrance. Walk to the village center (10 min). The beach is in the heart of the village.

The natural pools at Praia do Meio are formed by stone reefs that function as a natural breakwater — a common phenomenon on the coast of Trindade due to the local rock composition. The Atlantic Forest that reaches the edge of the sand is one of the most preserved stretches of the Serra da Bocaina National Park.
